Enzyme Recovery Story

I just had to post about my daughter, she just turned 11 and was diagnosed as high-functioning Aspergers when she was five. We didn't get serious about the GFCF diet until 1 year ago, and she has made tremendous gains in socialization and being able to concentrate in class (she no longer requires redirection and extra time - woo hoo)! Last month I started her on Peptizyde and HN Zyme Prime, mainly to challenge the diet occasionally. She has done wonderfully when we give her two Peptizyde with a small infraction, such as the fried stuff around shrimp or chicken, but the same amount of enzyme didn't work as well with a large meal, like pizza (plus that's gluten AND casein, of course). So we adjusted the dosage to three with a major infraction like that (and then even went for real ice cream afterward - yikes!) but she has done wonderfully, very alert and responsive and just "happy child" in general.

She even went so far as to stand up for one of her "mainstream" friends in school, she said she got in the other girls' faces and yelled at them for making the other girl cry!! Then stomped off and told the teacher what they had done! Wow! The teacher backed up her story as well. I can't believe it! She used to be totally oblivious to other children, and wondered around the playground talking and smiling to herself. I truly believe the enzymes are promoting further healing. I have to admit I was very skeptical at first, but the more we use them, the more convinced I am. I am getting ready to begin No Fenol when they come in, to help with yeast issues.

[My thanks to Anita for allowing me to use her child's story on my site.]
